The solonoid change in a 996.2 is relatively easy compared to the 996.1, glad you’ve sorted it

@daviesjp - do you mind sharing how much you paid to get the new crank sensor fitted (assuming a garage/specialist did the job)? I have the same problem on a 996.1. Thanks! It was the crankshaft position sensor that was at fault. Can't remember the code it threw up on the reader when I was able to get it to but it translated to the crankshaft sensor.
Hi @BigDaddy911 I bought the sensor from GSF for around £50 and then had a local garage fit it for £90. I was lucky as he managed to get it out without the bolt snapping as he took his time and was very gentle with it.@daviesjp - do you mind sharing how much you paid to get the new crank sensor fitted (assuming a garage/specialist did the job)? Thanks @daviesjp for the quick response. Much appreciated. Glad it wasn't too expensive to sort. Did that fully resolve all your 'warm engine stalling' and 'warm engine restart' issues?
