Hello all,

I have a 997.1 C2 and want to buy a set of adjustable lower control arms for my 997, and I was planning on getting them from Spyder Performance, the GT3 style with shims ones: https://www.spyderperformance.com/s...m-with-full-shim-kit-99634112190-99634112290/

I thought this was all I needed, since the design is similar to the OEM GT3 one, and other brands such as Eibach offer similar parts. But the description in Spyder's website states that these need to be bought together with 996 tuning forks if installing on a 997: https://www.spyderperformance.com/s...-support-control-arm-tuning-fork-99634104306/

It's the first time I read this and I wonder if it's really necessary, as I didn't know more parts had to be replaced in order to install the adjustable LCAs.

Has anybody bought this kit from them and found it required to also install new tuning forks? What's the difference with the ones that are already in my car?

Have you asked Spyder Performance. I've rang with a few question and they've always picked up and been helpful.
