I have had my 997T provisionally diagnosed with a Spun camshaft. I'm getting mixed views on how to move forward with this, specifically, the need to pin the camshaft to prevent this from happening again. I am unclear on how the spun sleeve is restored to its original position if that is what has happened when it is stripped down.

Its a pretty common issue. Whilst in there I'd personally do the rods, pin cams, pin and weld coolant lines and go for forged head studs too then you've future proofed it and you're good for 1000bhp. See the vlog. Protomotive trained 9e's engine builder Adam. 9e work to exactly the same engineering standards as Protomotive.

I just wanted to revive this topic to guage and understanding from the community, whether the issues with spun camshafts and the seven coolant pipes coming loose are as big of an issue in the UK as they appear to be in the USA.
Surely, we must have the same engines accross both continents, but having browsed several forums in both countries, it seems that this issue is far more prevalent in the USA for some reason.
Maybe, we UK owners aren't even aware of the spun camshafts, because apparently it doesn't always throw a fault code, but I'm guessing there'll be some kind of poor running symptoms presented.
