What are people's thoughts on Speed Yellow. I am looking at a GT3 in this colour (not the one in the pic). I love the colour now, but will I tire of it and also what about resale ? Would you or wouldn't you ?

If your other favourite colour is shrinking violet, then speed yellow is not for you :wink:

I was offered a brand new C4S in speed yellow (tiptro - all the options) on the road for GBP 50,000!!!!!! I wonder why, personally, I was going to snap it up - but the wife almost started crying : )

911 Virgin have got a Speed Yellow that seems to be sticking a bit. Personally, I think its a great colour, but yellow Minis don't sell well either!

okay in a GT3, but not in a standard C2/4

Spped Yellow Looks great, I thought about owning one, even went and saw the one at Virgin.com, (5 months ago!! and its still there), but at the end of day its a strong reason why someone else might not buy it a resale time.

If price was right deffo.Like 911s, F cars in "off" colours are hard to move on and generally trade £3k lower than equiv Rosso cars.

Agree with Poon. The car has to warant the colour. You can get away with it on something that is already a bit "showy" - anyone who has seen my Exige would agree, dull colours just don't do the car justice. I do think you can get away with it on a GT3.

Love Speed Yellow but as above was not brave enough, too ostentacious ( is that how you spell it ? ) Went for Seal Grey instead, in order to try and be anonymous ie not get nicked, stolen, keyed etc.
postamble();

My partners wife has one having just traded same colour boxster she apparently got full resale in the trade in. she always has yellow cars and they have never stuck (so far) personally it give me a headache I think it would limit resale for me but seems not to matter to others.
