I know I will probably get told to use the search facility but.....

I have spent the last couple of hours reading through the forums and still have no real feel for the servicing costs of either a 911 or a Boxster.

Any help guys?

Also what about fuel consumption?

Really need to find comparisons against my BMW 330 sport cabriolet.

Hi Ben

I was chatting to Jonas at JZ machtech about this and he reckoned, and i think it's a fairly good estimate, that you need to allow about £1500.00 a year to run a (911) porsche and generally I've found it to be true if you want it to be in tip top condition. Mines just been in for a gearbox and engine 6k service (which I have done 1/2 yearly or at 6k whichever come first) and that was about £400 with some other bits and bobs.
My service bills are around £500-1000 on average depending on how lazy i am (I do some basic maintenance)

I get 300 miles a tank on my 97/993 it's about £57 a fill I use a tank a week and my car does a mixture of town/motorway driving (20-25mpg)

hope this is of help

Ash
