Was that the best debut drive in recent memory or what ? Discuss.....

debut drives of recent years...

Jacques Villeneuve - should have won opening race of 1996 season in the Williams, except from an oil leak that finally finished his race before the end....

Michael Schumacher - 1991 Spa for Jordan, qualified 7th, but went out after the 1st lap.......

Forget debut, great drive PERIOD. Awesome. Another contender emerges to displace Shumi. Doubly glad cos it shows Webber up to be the overhyped whinger that he is.

Moment of GP: Fisi's "i'ts F*****in Sh*t" comment .I laughed so hard i almost fell off the sofa. :D

I know we should not knock our best F1 driver, but Button? Starts 4th, blames clutch for bad start and finishes 4th, saying if it had not been for the clutch, he'd have been on the podium. Kimi starts from 22nd and finishes 3rd. Views anyone?

Whinger/excuses/

Unfortunatelly I dont believe that button will ever acheive anything other than the elevated play boy status.

Sorry, and I wish I was wrong.

I really dont believe he has the right outlook to win the F1 championship, think he has the ability.

Now converseley Mansell didnt have any where as much talent as Senna, but he wanted it so bad, and he got it.

Having said the above there is a chance that he can have a change of attitude, such as Canatona at United just maybe,

I was quite impressed with Massa, obviously talented and quick now that he has a good car, just need the experience. BAR Honda and Button had their chance to win when all the top teams eg Ferrari/McC/Will were not doing their best, now everybody's back in form I doubt he'll get another chance.

My guess for this yr? Schumi wins, then retire to start his F1 team that sits next to the back markers for yrs. Button gets lots of podiums but no win, Kimi and Alonso very nearly win but not quite, Cothard + Villeneuve still there in the back ground muttering every now and then. Then at the end of the yr they change the qualifying format yet again. Glad to see Ferrari back on form, even happier that now they have to work hard for the win. It's gonna be an interesting yr!

I found the Alonso/Schumacher pit lane exit battle fascinating - but how does Fernando fit his overalls on with b*lls that big????

Has Alonso's neck muscles grown to twice the size of his head since last yr or is it just me? New place to keep his b*lls may be?

if he was a true great then he would take a bad car to victory, as there are enough drivers over time that have done this. . . . . . sure luck is a factor but 100 GP's without a win although the 1st 50 were in poor cars.. I do believe he will win a GP this year, but his time has come and gone (like my favourite Monty!) ...... he is a good driver and much better than DC but sadly a case of the wrong car and team and the right time...... but I wish him luck as we do need a 4 way fight for the F1 title this year, which he will contest but not for top stop..... shades of DC in 2000........ maybe Honda and JB in 2007 ?

Kimi will be the one to watch this year again, if the car stays in 1 piece of sorts....

Nahhh, watching rally is like watching qualifying again and again... without the race at the end!

Button had started to belive the hype that the Honda would be the quickest on the track in the first race and looked a bit gutted when it wasn't, might get a win but no World Champion i'm sorry to say.

Rosberg was excellent and looks like Williams got things right despite all the reports of problems in the last few months.

I think it will be a schumacher year, I hope Raikanon does nothing just so i don't have to listen to his boring voice ever again.

Will I be seeing any of you at Silverstone?
