One of the annoying things on my 996 turbo is the rear wing warning at 70mph, even though the rear wing is up I get a warning saying it isn and likewise when it goes down, how many microswitches are there involved in the loom for the rear wing ?

There are two micro switches, I had the same problem, but the cause was the oil leak. So the Indy just dismount the whole thing and filled it up. It works perfect now.
Check if your spoiler is going all the way up if it doesn't it is most likely you need to add oil
