Wondering how one of the newest OPC's is doing at Porsche High Wycombe, well in this case Trust Pilot seems to be sound them out !

be great to hear some reviews on here, from a member's perspective ..

get the pop corn as how that last review gave it 2 stars is a mystery !

i went there when it first opened. you wouldnt know they were a porsche dealership

Some truly shocking reviews and as mentioned the 2 star review should have been a big fat 0. As a business you are only as good as the service you provide no matter what brand name you have over the door and with these reviews that level of service isn’t good enough

Pretty bad reviews ! ☹️
Hope their franchise in south west does not follow.

Yes I’ve heard a couple of bad ‘rumours’ regarding the service department, I bought my GT3 from them last year which was on SOR. There were a couple of things regarding the missing manuals, that the previous owner hadn’t been supplied, which they sorted out..
Interestingly, and I can apply this to every OPC I’ve dealt with, I asked them to let me know ‘what next’ as I’m happy to ‘build the (mystical) Porsche relationship, but it’s been total radio silence since then.
In fairness, my local OPC has had a deposit for a future car (GT3) for the last 3 years, and I’ve not heard a peep out of them either. However it did provide a bit of leverage in negotiations with regards to the centrelock replacement compensation that happened recently.
I do prod them every 6 months or so, but it’s a fruitless exercise tbh.

Unfortunately if you really want ‘customer experience’ then you have to move up a level, and I’ve got to say that Lambo Pangbourne have been absolutely fantastic, I’ve had umpteen days out, experiences, driving holidays in the UK and Europe, and have probably turned down as much as I’ve done. I’m now on my fifth car in 7 years, and it’s been a wonderful ride from start to finish!

Stop press, I’ve been invited to a Porsche golf day, first ever event (apart from PEC) in almost 25 years of Porsche ownership! 😂

Does Porsche GB not see the damage these OPC's are creating to the brand? Several of my friends who have been avid Porsche fans have left the marque and I'm sure many will follow

My experience of OPCs in the UK has been pretty bad, they haven't really had to do much work over the last decade, the cars have steadily sold themselves, they're generally reliable so people leave good feedback, and that means you don't need to be very talented to pass as a reasonable employee, but when difficulties arise they get exposed as incompetent.

There are one or two decent people, but my overwhelming experience has not been great and they're now being exposed for what they are as the tide goes out.

I’ve read this post with interest, and I thought I’d share my experience with Porsche High Wycombe.

Last year I was fortunate to be able to buy my first 911, and High Wycombe has an unregistered vehicle in stock which pretty much ticked all the boxes for me.

An appointment was made, and a couple of days later I went to view the car. What was presented to me was a soaking wet, unwashed, unprepared car, and a very disinterested sales person.

I decided to proceed, and was then told that the price was “ plus the first years road tax”, which was about £2500, which was a surprise to me. So I decided to think about it and went home. When looked at the advert on Autotrader it clearly said that the first years tax was included.

I showed this to the sales person who then said, “OK On this occasion we agree to including the first years tax”. Bloody cheek, when it was advertised as such.

I asked them to get a price for my part exchange, an immaculate one year old Z4. After several calls from me they told me they couldn’t find anyone that wanted it, which I found very hard to believe.

Anyway, I decided to go ahead, and they were most disappointed that I did not want finance.

The collection was a bit of a disappointment.

Whilst I don’t expect my balls to be tickled, I would expect there to be a bit of a sense of occasion, which there certainly was not. Myself and my wife felt rushed and an inconvenience to the sales person.

The fuel light was on which was disappointing on a £100k plus purchase.

When I got the car home I found some paint damage on the roof, where someone had attempted to wipe off some bird shite dry, and scuffed the black panel on the roof.

It took four calls and emails to get this rectified, and when it was done there was no follow up call to check all was ok.

No mention was made of the Porsche experience day, and I had to chase this up with High Wycombe to get this arranged. They knew my wife was coming with me to collect, and I was hoping that she may have got some flowers, but there was nothing.

As I have said, I didn’t expect my balls being tickled, but I felt the level of customer service would not be suitable for a Ford Fiesta, let alone Porsche.

I completed the Porsche customer feedback review to reflect my experience, but heard nothing further.

Whilst I love my 911, the purchase experience was a definite disappointment, unless anyone here feels I am being unreasonable?

I’ve been to Mid Sussex Porsche, (my nearest dealer), and have found their level of customer service to be the opposite, - excellent.

The cars have been selling themselves for the last few years, since before Covid anyway, and during covid they had people begging for allocations and demonstrably in some cases actually giving bribes. So the salesmen haven't had to do anything to earn their money, and further to this, because most of them aren't exactly high IQ individuals and will probably never afford a £100k+ car themselves, I think many actually hate their customers, or at least certainly resent them.

So you walking in with your £100k+ cash probably upset him greatly, not least because he lost his commission from the finance company.

The best experience I've ever had was buying from Carl and Tom Hartley, a pair of multi-millionaires who treated me with great respect and couldn't do enough for me, they met me early in the morning to collect my car and made the whole thing feel special.
Contrast that to some smarmy OPC goon who's been on a sales course and probably struggles to spell his own name, but looks down on his customers.

It gives me the right hump sometimes, all I want is a bit of respect and to be made to feel like they understand my money is paying their wages.

I feel your frustration, as I said it’s been total silence from HW, though I understand they’re always ‘busy’ as like most OPC’s there’s always a trickle of tyre kickers walking through the door lol..
Though they must be doing really well as they’ve advertised a new 992.2 with almost 15% off!
Either they’ve just sold it or they’ve taken it off sale now.

There was a guy that successfully sued his OPC for not coming through with a car after he'd given them a deposit, and I've also heard it in the watch game, which seems to be a mirror of the car game.

In suppose I'm lucky, I bought a Patek Nautilus and a GT3 when you could just walk in and pick from the showroom floor, I don't have the patience or personality to suck up to salesmen.

I'd be looking into that deposit, after three years it's clear you're not getting one and there are various laws about them taking your money on a promise, or without delivering a product, and/or effectively taking a loan from you, which is basically what they've done to boost their cash flow.

I’ve still got some pending leverage with them, so I’m leaving it there until they fulfill it..
I’m not sure I actually want a .2 GT3 now, even though I’ve asked for one, but that’s another story lol..

Fair enough and I know what you mean, I've asked about a couple of new cars but right now even if they called me tomorrow I'm not sure I'd bother, I turned down a 992.2 GTS and I'd probably turn down a new GT3.

I think the GT3 has had it's day.

hiya @Davyp

That HW experience is truly awful, I can appreciate and share that excitement of your 1st Porsche and what a let down they had been
I hope that since that point the car has been fantastic and everything you would have expected from the marque

I had so so service from Sutton Coldfield- however the car is so good that its a distant memory

I do appreciate for some its very important but in no way would i be denying myself a 992.2 GT3 if it meant less than ideal service!
We have some experience of BMW and the service is about 3 rungs lower than any OPC

But for sure OPCs need to up their game
