Poor starting 944 Turbo

Hi everyone

I'd appreciate any advice on a poor start problem with my '86 951.

Occasionally, first start on the day, it churns and churns on the key (really lethargically) - sometimes I think it's not actually going to start - and then when it fires it chugs worryingly, not smooth at all (really heavily)...

Then when on the open road and if restarted later in the day it's absolutely spot-on.

Anyone have any ideas for me - really don't want to get stranded anywhere!!

Cheers

Tony.

sounds like it my be a speed/reference sensor problem, but check the main engine earth strap first or bolt a second one on
