OK, what do I need to remember when I pick the new car up? (993). Obvious things seem to be keys x2, red remote, V5 tear-off, service records etc, locking wheel nut key (I presume they have locking bolts?), err.....anyone help me out? Thanks.

(in the excitement, I'll forget everything if I don't have it written down)

Congrats on getting your new toy. Make sure that your Insurance is in effect.

Look for the tyre pressure guage, compressor in the spare wheel well.

Stereo code if it has one may also be useful.

Some slippers for driving, lead wellies might not be most appropriate :wink:

When I bought mine, I didn't check that the spare tyre inflator was there. It wasn't, and i had to buy one from Halfords. Might want to check yours is.

I would also ask which brand/type of oil is being used as I like to keep topping up with the same and you will need to top up these engines as they consume. I would also check the oil level (with dip stick - warm/idling/flat surface) and tyre pressures regardless of if its comes from a private seller or dealer/specialist.

Check the alarm system, mine has a disabling key which fits a control box in the engine compartment.

Some systems also have a small key which fits an alarm slot on the central console for locally switching the alarm.Also get the alarm system instructions!

Current MOT certificate of course and any old ones too.



And it should have locking wheel nuts so yes, get that key too!
