I bought a black 2002 C4S last month and I just wanted to echo the comments people have made about these two firms, for anyone new to buying a Porsche and thinking of using either:
Paragon: friendly, helpful, not at all pushy (I think they take the view that the cars sell themselves). Not the cheapest, but I would thoroughly recommend them - Russ even picked me and my girlfriend up from the train station. They have been good with aftersales service too - I would definitely use them again. I called them up out of the blue one Saturday morning and Russ was more than happy to let me spend the whole afternoon test driving cars.
JZ Machtech: Jonas, who I used for a PPI, is a star and he was happy to take the time to answer any questions I had. I had to pay extra for his travelling time to go and have a look at the car at Paragon, which he was happy to do (even though he was obviously very busy, with lots of other work on). Of course, having done that, he could find nothing wrong with the car (and I mean nothing - it must have been the shortest PPI Report ever - three lines). Oh well, what price can you put on peace of mind ...?
