When you take the oil filler cap of a running 911 should it have any effect on the engine? Of the porsches I've seen on some it does and some it doesn't. Any thoughts?

Colin

PS Also some have gunk on them and some don't !!!

engine speed should drop a few 100rpm and it might sound a bit 'rough'...this is normal if it doesn't you have a vacumn leak somewhere
if you have 'orangey plasticky' gunk on the oil filler cap you are not getting the engine up to a high enough temperature to burn of the water vapour . The result is this 'goo' , stop pussy footing around and floor it for long periods of time out of sight of cameras and other interferences that destroy contemporary life!!!!!

When I buy one of these cars I will make it my mission in life never to have gunk on my filler cap. Will it become the sign of a true man?????!!!!
