non-OPC warranties

For the 993 owners amongst us who don't have OPC warranties, can anyone demonstrate how useful policies such as cover-plan etc are when it comes to servicing the non-wear items.

Your comments are appreciated as to the costs and monies worth, not to mention the ease with which work can be carried out without battling with admin.
