NOISY Wipers!

Good day gentelmen!

Could someone have a solution on my "problem"?

I had a wonderfull Belgian sunday driving my C4s in the pourring rain! But something slowly gets on my nerves: the noise the wipers are doing during their travel on the windscreen (you probably have a name for that). Even under "real" rain the noise persist. I tried to solve the problem by twisting the wipers arm...no change!

Has it is difficult not to use the wipers here in my lovely country, I send this message to people who may be more specialized in rain than we are...

Thanks

JP

PS congratulations to your rugby guys! I work in Paris and thanks to them, I'm sure this week will be quite!

Have you tried Rainex? Then you would not need the wipers at all
Really? I've never used the stuff. Is it really that good??

I think a trip to Halfords may be in order.

rainex is very good. it looks quite weird at first but it certainly does the job. the rain just rolls off the screen in little beads. very impressed.

I use rainX on my side and rear windows and it works v. well, not sure about using it on the windscreen, just can't see how it could compete with wiper blades at high speed.

I use it on the windscreen. You MUST make sure the screen absolutely clean and dry before you apply RainX or it smears when you use wipers on it. Elbow grease definitely not an optional extra Otherwise, it's wonderful stuff...

Well, Boeing was using that kind of products a few years ago. And effectively, it was working very well even above 140 kts in heavy rain. But now, believe it or not, airplanes have to rely only on wipers since that liquid was forbiden to protect the nature! And the 737 wipers are...really noisy too!

Question time: when Rainex is on your windscreen for a few months, do you have to clean it with a special solvent before reaplying it? How long does it stay in place?

How is the night vision?

No solution for the wipers?

Wish you a nice dry W-E!

JP
