The 997's were great the Bugatti....well amazing !

Was it just me or was the carrera 2 vs 4 pointless? I thought it was obvious that the carrera 4 would win?

In the wet across country I guess the difference would have been even greater...?

c4 v c2 on a dusty track designed for 4wd cars.. not a surprise who was always going to win....

but that Veyron !

I was under the impression the Veyron was a big car. Yet when JC was doing his Defcon 4 inspection, it looked very compact.

Also as a rule, do not like red cars. However, that Carrera 4 looked very tasty indeed!

It made a nice change to see a modern 911 in Guards Red - so many out there now are Artic Silver....

Bugatti Veyron-an awesome technical achievment, but looks like a fat ugly pig from the front...

The Veyron looks like an engineering master piece, but really not sure about the look! Still, if I did get it for X'mas, I wouldn't complaint...

Veyron, nothing short of stunning, love the looks.

I was surprised by the lead the C4 pulled over the C2 over a very short race. Ther would however appear to be a trade-off; speed and security vs better 'feel'.

But the Veyron; as summed up by Clarkson, probably the best car we will ever see. I've always had a real soft-spot for Bugatti (T35 ranks amongst the top of my list of cars I will own as and when I've made my millions!) and the Veyron does the marque proud IMO- it is an utterly, excessively, exquisite piece of engineering.

BTW did anyone else know that the anti-car pressure group Transport 2000 were lobbying to have Top Gear banned for its anti-social attitude to speed etc?

I loved the bit where he phoned the Quote me Happy and they spent 25 mins asking him his details before saying "Whats a Bugatti is it a Rover"

It was obviously a foreign call centre and they didnt have a clue.
More like quote me dopey.

You should have to sit a test on cars before working in companies like that, I was annoyed to be asked what a C4S was by my insurence company

That Bugatti is just sex on wheels and a bargain £5million to build and yours for only £850K.

Clarkson might be correct, that we will never see the like again, especially now all the UK reserves of oil/petrol/gas are going up in smoke in Hampshire.

Why did they not let The Stig take it around the track as all the other Supercars have been? I would have loved to see the lap time, tat way we could really compare......
