Hi Folks,
Just bought myself a 993 c2 cab manual, its my first 911 after selling my 928s4 was wondering if you guys thought i done ok on price, bought from a small independent dealer, the car is a 94 m plate c2 cab in iris blue metalic with classic grey leather and 58k miles. Options include 17 inch cup alloys, air con, and sports seats, it also has a cd radio with 10 disc changer and a porsche PA1000 full closure alarm system.Condition inside and out is very good, it also has clear front and side repeaters and red tail light lenses along with a loop style rear spoiler incorporating a 3rd brake light.it was put through an mot before i purchased and required nothing to pass, its also hpi clear and never been involved in an accident.it has a full service history combination of main dealer and specialist and comes with invoices for servicing and also a new roof and rear plastic screen, wishbones changed, and both lower cam cover gaskets replaced. a lot of the work was carried out by paragon porsche or opc and paragon sold the car 4 years ago with 43k on the clock for 35.5k.
I am not a mechanic i bought the car using Peter Morgans 993 Buyers guide, loads of internet research, my own gut instinct, and trusting the dealer ( i can see some of you cringing at that last bit )
it needs the following done to make it absolutely perfect in my opinion
2 pirellis on the rear within the next 2000 miles
windscreen delaminating slightly on both sides ( can anything be done about this or is it a new screen job)
2 small stone chips on the front bonnet and slight pitting of rear arches also the paints lifted a bit at the base of the wiper arm. (is this common )
2 of the cup alloys need refurbed as the laquer is lifting slightly
The car other than that is a minter it also has a private plate which values at 2.5k i paid 23k which technically means i paid 20.5k whats your views on the deal and also your views on the 993 c2 cab manual
Regards Walt
