Is this bill a bit OTT?

Just paid £8 for a fruit juice smoothy thing

3K is a bargain (actually an investment from a man mathematic perspective) ......Hopefully you will get proper use out of it
For £8 i'd expect a proper smoothy, not just a smoothy thing......!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so £1500 for labour, which, when you include the vat is about 15 hours. So two full days of work. Yeah, sounds about right for all of that if there were seized bolts

That's reassuring, thanks all.

I've been out this afternoon and I've got wheel and chassis vibration at 60mph + and the smell of burning from both rear wheels, so I think I've got seized calipers.

There's always something...
I hope you resolved that issue as it can lead to total brake failure if the brake fluid might boil...

Just a quiet drive of a mile or two in traffic then chack for variance in temps across the discs, burned finger tip possibilities, been there done that, though there are more sensible methods available... If there is a sticking pad or calliper it could also be doing so intermittently, thus may take a while to track down.

Also suspect could be handbrake adjustment..?

hope you have it resolved by now..?
