I think that the title is probably an oxymoron or some sort of urban myth. I've just moved house and now have my pride and joy locked in a secure private garage yet my Insurance has still gone up another £290 to £1500.00 a year.
Does anybody have a decent and fair Insurance company instead of the B**stards who are cleaning me out??!!

That does sound rather high.

I paid just under 1K for mine. I'm 35, car is garaged, 4 yrs no claims.

This is with "Performance Marque" -
http://www.thackerfairweather.com

Have no idea what they are like in the advent of a claim, but they are very attentive on the phone.

Thanks Mike.

I tried them when I bought the car and they didn't "quote me happy" they "quoted me f*****g ridiculous" £2900.00.
:( :( :(

Try Elephant.co.uk . C4S 993 at £777.02, 12 years no claims

Thanks Jay

I've just tried performance marque and they quoted me £1635.81!!!

I've got 10 years no claims only 3, very old, points and the car is garaged when not in use. What's wrong with me... why aren't I like all the other boys with cheap Insurance!! :?

Must be your post code, or is it your first high performance car?

When I first bought my 993, I was caned with £1600 premium due to the post code and first high performance car. I haven't moved but 6 yrs later it's dropped down gradually to just over £500 now.

Hi Mick.

I think it must be, this is my first high performance car and I sadly have a central London postcode. It just seems such a rip-off, and I know the buggers will do anything to avoid paying out should the worst happen and I need to claim.
Very frustrating as my Wife already thinks the car is costing too much and it won't be long until the pressure to sell starts!!! :( :(

Matt

try Bickley Insurance on 0208 773 8123 and speak to Chris Wilkins and mention me, they offer good NU road policies that I'm with as they also include track day Insurance which suits me ! it may be NU but it was a better quote then direct as a broke he understands Porsche drivers

regards
