Gt3 club sport

Great choice of car!

If its the black car at Dovehouse then that's not a clubsport. It's a comfort with buckets and bolt in rear cage. Don't know why they are advertising it as clubsport package...

Do you know the car ? Suppose I need to get the chassis number and check
The differences as I know of
Electrical cut off switch
Single mass rs clutch and fly wheel
geo set different ,ride height lower
Fire extinguisher
Seats
Half cage
Looked at another in van rooyen in Warrington just a comfort spec this would mean I need to buy seats ,cage and harnesses
I'm in no rush the right one will come along

I'm sure somebody who knows 100% will be along shortly, but I thought that the LWFW was only on the 996.1 clubsport, not the 996.2.

The differences as I know of
Electrical cut off switch - Yes, under front bonnet

Single mass rs clutch and fly wheel - No, only fitted to RS

geo set different ,ride height lower - Geo and ride height owners choice, no fixed setting but fully adjustable

Fire extinguisher - Yes, should be fitted

Seats - Yes, should be club sport Velour finish not leather

Half cage - Yes, should be fitted

Yeah 996.2 gt3 clubbie has a dual mass fly wheel as standard plus 6 point harness for the driver, pasanger harness was an option.
Accept no immatation and wait for the real thing, it's worth it. Not many around at this time of year. I had a good choice in the middle of last winter.

Hello Will
I had a good look around this car when I was searching. If you want any general information then I'm happy to give you a run down of what I thought of it and picked up.
Send me a PM if still interested.
Regards
Craig

The definitive test of a true clubsport is the M003 code on the underbonnet sticker. You should also check the sticker in the service book is identical to the one under the bonnet...

The ad does say "with Clubsport pack" in fact, so its a matter of what they add verbally when asked what that means, I suppose. The roll bar and seats are not factory Clubsport spec, and I don't think the belts are the Schrott ones as supplied by Porsche for retrofitting to the driver's seat for track use only. (The FIA approved track belts would not be street legal anyway).

Seen another car at a place called van rooyen in Warrington in silver would need to buy seats harnesses and cage though

Have you seen the car at JZM. Looks a nice one.
Craig

Yeah seen it not done much looking been playing rugby today

I was told the Black one at DH was traded at 34.5K. I rang them a few days after they took the car and offered 38K but nobody ever bothered to get back to me.

That sounds about right. I remember asking a south-eastern independent Porsche company about selling mine in order to finance a GT3 RS and I think they mentioned 32/3k as a figure. Incredible mark ups but we will not go done that route.

Nothing wrong with a comfort specification upgraded to clubsport albeit not the dictionary definition of an official Clubsport.

Good luck with the search.

Pip
