Overview:In pristine original time warp condition, sadly the time has now come to part with my 996 C4S after 18 years. Near concours unmolested example. Presented exactly as it left the Zuffenhausen factory in 2002. A fine addition to any serious Porsche collection. The original special order polar silver paintworks is gleaming and unmarked and a particular highlight with its subtle blue hue. All original first paint throughout. Has been in dehumidified garage during my 18 years of ownership. The iconic rear reflector strip running the entire width of the car is a unique feature among the 996 generation of 911, which only featured on the C4S model. Passenger and rear seats have never been sat in and present as new. Values are now finally starting to firm on this undervalued piece of Porsche history. One of the most handsome looking Porches, especially the rear and side views - not sure there is a more classic profile of 911 - and a sure fire investment. A correct manual 996 C4S is a joy to drive with its 320bhp naturally aspirated powerplant and is becoming quite a rare sight nowadays with even the most recent examples being well over 20 years old. Feels considerably lighter, more nimble and compact than the 991 and 992 generations of 911. Would be a glorious counterpoint to those newer generation turbocharged cars, for fair-weather blasts down B-roads. The induction roar from a naturally aspirated 911 is pure joy. As for the fabled headlights - these have aged like a fine wine and, after all, they are good enough for the legendary GT1. With only 2 owners from new and a barely run in 10, 600 miles this must be one of the very finest examples in existence. Has been in the continuous ownership of a Porsche car collector for the past 18 years and is a very reluctant sale to fund and make space for a new vehicle. The first owner had the car for five years and was the chief executive of a building society, who bought the car as an early retirement present using it sparingly for his last few commutes to Swindon. Running the carandclassic tool, this car carries a current valuation of £58, 445. A sound investment, especially when considering that an equivalent 993 version of the C4S, this car's predecessor, would sell for around three times as much! A museum piece like this is as rare as it gets. It even still has the factory cushioning tape on the underside of the bonnet! Plus the under bonnet white ID sticker is also still intact.

The original 2002 invoice supplied with the car confirms the huge factory specification of this vehicle and an Options Total alone of £7, 914 - a considerable sum of money 23 years ago:

It looks beautiful
I don't know if I missed it but is it Tip or Manual?

A small thing, the GT1 had lights very similar to the Gen1 996 (fried egg type) , the Gen2 /Turbo /C4S were very different.

IT looks fabulous but after 9 years being stored surely it would need more than a grand and half in recommissioning wouldnt it - mine takes that every year on average :-D

If the storage facility was very dry and insulated then most likely it'll need brake fluid, engine and gearbox oil. DIY about £250.
I bought a Turbo with similar miles , I've had it 3 years , done 7k miles in it and spent zero on it as that was all done at Williams Crawford where I bought it from but all they did was fluids.

Radiators might want a look at.

Took it out last night for a blast up to StMary's Loch and it's astonishing how well it drives, no noise at all from suspension or anything , compliant on poor surfaces , and the thrust you get is too much most of the time as your foot has to quickly swap to the brakes (I can't left foot brake)
It looks and drives like a brand new car as I'm sure this one will.

Low mileage cars make a lot of sense if they were stored well.

Yes, it's a 6-speed manual. It is like a new car, having been in a dehumidified garage all the time. It has had every fluid changed, engine oil, gearbox oil, brake fluid, radiator fluid, new plugs, the works. Drives faultlessly.
