Fixable Under Warranty or Not

I have 3 problems I would like fixing and I would like to know if they are fixable under my Warranty or not:

1 Noisy A/C Fan - like sticking a stick into it

2 Side repeater is loose - the other side is not

3 Window seals smear windows when opened/closed.

4 The rear lights suffer from condensation

What is the general consensus.

FYI - The car is off to Byfleet OPC very soon for a service.

Without going through the warranty itself for specifics why not mention these things when it's in for a service and see if they'll have a look/fix for free as part of the service?

The aircon is covered (but not the desiccator).

My side repeater (by the wheelarch) came loose/was pulled loose. Hard to prove how it happened.

The LED was fine so it was just a broken clip on the housing.

Part was £15 (even OPC were surprised how cheap, cheaper than anywhere else I looked too), fitting free as was in the garage anyway.
It's actually super easy to fit yourself.

I'd imagine anything which is just labour intensive to fix would be done as goodwill especially if you're putting a service their way.

I raised the condensation with my front lights and they said this wasn't covered under warranty and probably caused by the very cold weather period we suffered. Since the weathers improved it's been fine.

I would only expect #1 to be covered by the warranty.

Hi Jam,

I had my front lights replaced under warranty at West London No Less.

I noticed it after a torrential shower a few months after purchasing the car.

Here is an update.

Fixed itself...weird

2 Side repeater is loose - the other side is not

Fixed under warranty

3 Window seals smear windows when opened/closed.

Fixed under warranty

4 The rear lights suffer from condensation

Only happened once so put down to a wet Summer

All work done at OPC Byfleet, thanks for their help with the Warranty bits I think they tried hard, which is good.

Post service the car now feels very smooth.

Interested to hear of the fix too. This has happened on every 911 I have owned!

That alone will not necessarily be a permanent fix as the seals are not the original source of the problem, IIRC. The smearing is caused by grease which somehow" migrates" from the window regulator onto the glass when the windows are dropped. Let's hope they thoroughly cleaned any surplus grease off the regulator mechanism when the door card was off.

So, it's grease transfer from mechanism onto window, onto seal and back onto windows again?
Would cleaning the seals reduce the problem? Might need to be done regularly but would it eventually eradicate the problem?

I have seen mechanics spray nylon lubricant down the gaps before on other cars I have owned for 'squeaky' window problems. Is this a simliar issue - i.e. caused by wondering lubricant?
