Faulty clutch damaged flywheel - warranty coverage?

Hi Everyone,

I ordered a clutch kit from Design911 and my mechanic said it was faulty and needed to be replaced. I ordered a second clutch with the intention of starting a warranty claim on the first. However, the mechanic noticed that the first clutch also damaged the flywheel, which then needed to be replaced as well (flywheel was quickly sourced through another supplier).

Do you know if the flywheel would be covered by Design911's warranty or perhaps from the clutch kit manufacturer? Or, is there another avenue to look into?

Sorry, if this is a silly question, but I'm new to the UK so I didn't know if there was an obvious recourse that I should look into (ie. are there any statutory rights that might cover this scenario?) Thanks!

Warranty claim on a part is completely different to a warranty claim on part, different parts and labour

Why not ask Design 911 what they cover?

Take photos and show what has caused the issue with the flywheel and what exactly is at fault with the clutch . Get in touch with D911 and tell them what's happened , if it is a valid claim that the clutch has damaged the flywheel I'm sure they'll take it seriously.
Please let's see what the issue is. Post photos on here too.
What make was it ? LUK?

I’m away for the rest of the week, but I’ll take pics when I return.

The clutch was a Sachs one.
