Engine boot open warning light?

I think my engine boot shut sensor is possibly playing up, it came on earlier going over a bump, even though the boot was shut ok. Reopened/closed the boot and it's stayed off so far, but I'll probably have a closer look at it later.

Does anyone know where the sensor it located; is it inside the lock or a plunger somewhere, didn't see it earlier when having a quick look. :?:

The microswitch is attached to the bootlid lock. On the 997 it isn't an integral part of the lock as it was on earlier 911s, so there may be some scope for adjusting it to resolve your problem. :dont know:
