My love for my 993 has not diminished but have recently developed a fixation for an E 24 BMW M635. Can you lot please give me a good reason for not buying one of these! Having looked at the relevant forums, I now appreciate the quality of this one even more, thanks to all you wonderful lunatics! If anyone out there has any experience with E24(old 6 series) Beemers I would love your advice PM me if you feel this is all a bit off topic! BTW the 993 isnt going anywhere :)

Hand built, M1 engine, manual gearbox. What's not to love!

Watch out for front inner/outer and rear inner wing rust. Buy the best you can afford. Don't worry about the miles. Buy on condition. Find a club members car. Don't pay over the odds for one pretending to be better than it is. Have an inspection done. Don't buy the first one guy see if you can help it unless it's exceptional. Defo have a good drive in one. Would certainly add one to my 993.
 
Thanks Cyrus. Been quietly looking for a while but found a really cheap one in the Orkneys of all places, on ebay. High miles though 185k. The prices for M635csi's is all over the shop but as you warned I gather the top priced ones are not all they are meant to be. Must get back to looking for cheap flights to Stornaway! :puh:
