duped or just plain stupid?

Without wishing to invite abuse...

I recently bought a 22 month old 996 from a 'reputable' porsche specialist dealer. Car was advertised in a variety of places including on this site. Included in the details was the Litronic light system. I was pretty thorough in checking all the details on the car, but on this detail I seem to have been taking a nap. Lights on the car are the standard variety.

I believe that the dealer should sort this out - we're talking about a 50k car. Do you agree? If so - any thoughts about how to approach this?

If I can't resolve this - any ideas about how to improve the illumination of the standard lights. I've heard of various bulbs being better than others - any advice would be grand.

Ask the dealer to supply the litronics or suggest to them that the small claims court could help them decide. Adopt a no sympathy attitude with car dealers.

Keep copies of any advertisements - take a copy to the dealer - ask them to confirm that the car shown is the car you purchased - ask them to look at the lights - that alone should nudge them in the direction you want. If it doesn't, they surely can't have a leg to stand on re you visit to a small claims court. Also, who is the dealer?
