Dansk Sport Exhaust - Experience?

I've just had my OEM Sports Exhaust replaced on my 997 3.6l, my local Porsche specialist recommended the Dansk sytem, however I'm very diappointed, there is a distinct raspy tone and at low revs there is harsh drone that just makes me turn the radio up!

Somewhat spoiled my enjoyment of the car - has anyone else had this experience with Dansk?

the harsh drone they shouldn't do that
does this specialist have a car to compare to, to why they recommended ?

997.1 3.8 S they were (are) great. No harshness, the only thing I would add is that they do bed in and get better with use. Probably as they soot up inside?

Which ones did you get?

The OEM replacement, the Sport or the Sport Sound Version?

I had the Dansk Super Sport on my 996, it droned like hungover ex wife, and it was so loud it literally made a child cry as I pulled away.

I tried to find my initial review of the exhaust on PH when I picked the car up, but I deleted some of it.

I initially said...

Now then, that exhaust.

It is loud, like proper loud.

Where I come out of my drive there is a coffe shop, and at the moment people are all outside, all having a lovely peaceful time with their bit of cake and coffee.
I never had a 911 as I wanted to keep under the radar.

This thing sound like I am leaving the f

king pit lane!
In fact no it doesn't, I wouldn't be allowed on track with this exhaust.

He spend £1300 have thing fitted last year. I need to see if I can do anything to quieten it down a bit or I will just order a new system from Topgear exhausts next week.

The problem is it is loud from 1000rpm up, I would rather it be like stock up to 3200rpm and then come alive.

I will try and get a video of it.

I do remember laughing at the name of the exhaust, it sounded more like some alternative synth techno band from Berlin.

Das ist der neue dansk super Spoooorrtaaaaah auspuff!

Also I went to the exhaust place near me as they were Top Gear stockists, when I got there
there was some young 19 year old lad with tracksuit bottoms, LaCoste Trainers, a Moncler cap and a......vest, being looked after when I arrived. He had a 320d and was ordering a new exhaust system for it.
Twin exit exhausts, 5" tips and he wanted it to sound "Fakin' proper loud blad!"

The fact he then said after that "Although, not quite as loud as his 911." told me I really do need to do something about mine pretty quickly.

I swapped for Tope Gear back boxes, far more like stock, but still a bit of drone around that 3000rpm mark just where you don't want it when cruising.
But not like the Dansk exhaust.

Now that is funny😆

It was so loud and it had bite too, I rent a couple of garages down the alley way here....

As you come out you can't see who is on the path, so you slowly bring your nose out and hope that people understand that although they can see you you can not see them and wait for you to come out, which most do.
There used to be a bit of a higher raised curb to keep the gravel in the drive, it is lower in this photo, but you used to have to give it a bit of gas to get the car to bump over it at the slow speeds you had exit at.
Now, the fact it was an alley way also meant that the exhaust was amplified too.
About a week into having the 996 I was coming out and there was a family, just been to the Cafe, the Dad waved me out and as I did the exhaust sound was so loud the little girl shrieked, threw her arms in the air and put her ice cream or milkshake or whatever it was all over herself, while sobbing uncontrollably.

It was at that point that I knew I had to swap for something a little more refined.
