Got my 997 last week and both keys were a little worn - not surprising as I think both are the 20 year old originals.
Got this off Amazon for under £17 - https://amzn.eu/d/7qd0zZk
For the price I’m amazed at the quality. Had to pull all the innards out the old key. I even managed to get the Crest off the key and have now re-fitted it into the new key.
Word of advice for anyone doing this - it does matter which way you put the transponder chip back in. If you put it the wrong way round it sits too high, which will push the circuit board up meaning the loc/unlock button will constantly trigger. It goes curved side down as it follows the contours of the key. I didn’t want to glue mine in but also did’t want to leave it loose. I wrapped it in some tape to make it become a bit of a pressure fit.
Not bad for 30 minutes or so and under £20.
