Hi All,

I know that most of the users of this forum drive ultimate cars, that are the pincle of the motoring world but has anyone every been caught out.

In other words has anyone be caught out or surprised by lesser cars, Q-cars cars they didn't expect to shift so swiftly etc?

Once by an Brand New Evo, who was with me all the way to 160mph. One of the 380bhp ones so I guess to be expected.

In my 993, I beat an audi TT 3.2 DSG, which really surprised me, thought it would have the measure of me.

Gave a pimped Integra Type R a lesson in my Audi S4 once though, just blew him away on my way to 168mph on the clock in the audi. Thats the old 2.7 V6 twin turbo S4, what a car.

Worked the other way this morning....

I heard the Impreza before I saw it, so dropped the dirty girl into 2nd, got the turbo kick just as he tried to overtake, unfortunately he had to brake hard and slip in behind me before he had a head on fight with a bus. nutter!

Obviously these speeds were done on unrestricted German Autobahns or on a track?

PS Sorry to hear about the golf at the weekend, Mind you, you did tell me you liked to be beaten by younger boys

My Mk2 gti 8v with a few mods often puts a concerned look on BMW drivers...even with their 2.5/3.0 6's !

I worked in Germany for a few years - back in the early 90's riding in a 735 BMW we were passed and left standing by an old VW camper ( you know, the typical surf-dude one) - simply could not catch him. By chance the guy happened to be in the next Service area - when questioned he simply pointed at the back and said, dead-pan, "Porsche Turbo Motor...."

Not exactly a q car, in fact not even vaguely, but worthy of note...

I was overtaken a while ago by a Maclaren F1- I was accelerating hard in my old 328GTS, and the Macca passed me like I was parked... 8)

There is a lovely stretch of road that goes to mount Fuji where you can cruise at 130 - 140 MPH without anyone getting in the way or any blue lights. I was humbling cruisng along when day at a nice 140 MPH when in my rear view I saw two headligts in the way way distance. Literally a few seconds later they are literally up me back side! I jumped out of the way for a seriously seriously fast Supra, as he went by me - and I am not joking my 996 literally juddered from the speed he was doing - easy 190 I would say. It actually scared me!!!!!

On a pleasant note, I raced a 355 on a 30 mile stretch of road once! The Ferrari started out in front of me but was left behind me after 5 minutes or so!

As I recall Jamie Oliver has one and I caught the Gumball Rally on channel 4 a few months ago and one was entered in that too. Loooked lovely!

One evening last summer I thought I had been clocked by plod when I saw headlights in my rear view approaching very very rapidly, I lifted off immediately, however it wasn't plod, it was a pimped Mk.V Cortina which I'm sure from the smell was burning nitro.
