C4 CAB MODS... GT3 EXHAUST??

Hi all..



I have just bought an 02 996 C4 Cab and was looking to make a few modifications to it... just suttle things - dont want to ruin what its like!

I was wondering if anyone knew if an exhaust system from a 996 GT3 would fit??? and if it would sound much better??

The only other thing i was looking at was maybe turbo bumpers... but not sure on that one yet...

also my brother has just started a paintshop so when hes had a bit more practice i might let him lose on the porsche!...

NO and no

The noise from the GT3 comes from the engine :lol:
not the exhaust fella, ( bit obvious but it needed to be pointed out :wink: )however there are some stunning exhausts available for all 911s, it just depends what you want and how much you wanna spend!

however..

why would it be obvious?!?! if the exhaust system isnt the same it isnt going to sound the same.. right?? ....

i havnt had a look at the C4 exhaust system but assumed the GT3 might be a bigger bore etc...

never mind.. ill live with it as is ;) cheers

Hi Russ, i can see where your coming from on this, but i think im right in saying that the GT3 engine is different to that of a regular 996, therefore just bolting on (even if it can be done) a gt3 exhaust wont necessarily be a good thing. If your after a good sports exhaust pm Daz (speedfreak) who will be able to give you a good heads up - or you could have a search in the forums, he posted about his new exhuast recently. :D
