Afternoon boys.

I have the chance of a 911 (993) 1994/L done 75,000 in iris blue..Full service history.

Can you give me some idea what its worth ?

and how would I get on with a tiptronic after my C4 ?

also am I right in saying, the a non "S" tiptronic will not have the sterring wheel gear change controls ?

Thank you, hope you're all well..

Daniel

Seriously Dan - if most of your driving is stop start city then i think a tip is perfect - but i would only consider a tip with steering wheel mounted change up/down buttons.................

Cheers Warren.

The car would be a weekend car, so (hopefully) not stuck in traffic !!

After 6 years in 3.2 Carreras, with HEAVY clutches in London traffic (MASOCHISTIC or what?) I wouldn't worry about it.

Many would say that the tiptronic is the soft option. Why miss out on the joy of gear changing? Isn't that one of the reasons you'd buy a 911.

And correct me if I'm wrong but don't you lose out on number of gears (therefore flexibility) with tipT? ie. 993/996 has 6 gears, but tip is only 5?

I'd say get the manual, and buy an cheap automatic runabout 2nd car if you must.

:-)

Deep, have you ever driven a tiptronic? As I said before I ain't got no wooden leg and I enjoy driving my car and they can be fun. HOWEVER it would not be any good as a track car which appeals to you a lot.

I took a tiptronic Boxster for a weekend a few years back, and spent a fun 30mins shifting up and down the box. Thereafter for the rest of the weekend I shoved it in Auto and left it there. Boring and not engaging IMHO......

Ater my weekend trial I didnt buy.

have a 993 tip s and it,s great no regrets at all perfect in town , when you get bored mess about with the gears .it,s a better driver than me that can beat a tip plus no clutch to wear out
