For those interested but who, like me, don't have TNT there's extensive coverage of the race on Quest (Sky Channel 144).

It's going to seem funny seeing the distinctive Hertz Team Jota cars starting at the front and hearing a totally different noise coming from their Cadillac engines.

Thanks for the heads-up T8..

Quest is on CH 012 in my part of the world, or Quest +1 on CH 070, via TalkTalkTV

Just popped out during an ad break.

After an uneventful start and first half hour ............... what a great few minutes racing that was as all 21 hypercars caught the bunched up 20 odd GT3 cars and started lapping them. It's always exciting to see the speed differential between those two classes but with 40 odd cars mixed up for a couple of minutes it made for the best TV I've seen in ages.

Following Kevin Estre coming from 21st on the hypercar grid through to 7th in half an hour was immense. If he hadn't been disqualified in qualifying it'd be a Porsche 1-2 at the moment.

Yes, it's a busy afternoon. Currently surfing between the Bath v Leicester rugby at Twickenham, 24 Le Mans with the US Open golf and Canadian GP qualifying to dip into later. I don't know how I manage it.

Fortunately I only follow football and motorsport so don't have such issues. :)

What a stint from Kevin Estre - up to 4th from 21st. Porsche 1-2 currently due to the Cadillacs and Ferraris stopping earlier.

I haven't seen any WEC this year due to Eurosport moving to TNT so hadn't seen the electronic boards on the sides of the cars showing their race position. What a fantastic idea for those watching at the circuit. It was always a downside for me watching endurance races live that after the first hour (and sometimes less than that) you hadn't got a clue who was where and who was racing who.

Porsche 1st and 3rd after 2 hours. Amazingly no safety cars, full course yellows or safety zones so far. I hope that continues.

Quest coverage has stopped until 10pm but apparently you can watch the race on Discovery+ which, I've just checked, is free to Sky customers. You just have to sign up for it.

I've made other plans for this evening, including Canadian GP qualifying at 9pm, so won't be watching the 24 hour race again until it gets dark.

11.5 hours before there was a safety car.

20 of the 21 Hypercars still running at 14 hours in, 9 of them still on the same lap.

Now = 4 hours to go and Ferrari look good for their third Le Mans win in a row. 1st, 3rd and 4th with Porsche No.6 car second.

Both Manthey cars running well in GT3LM with No.92 car now leading.

The early morning (0100 to 0300hrs) coverage on Quest was excellent.

Sofa, beers and lights off in the house it felt like I was in the cockpit . Great stuff.

The early morning (0100 to 0300hrs) coverage on Quest was excellent.

I watched between 22.00 and 00.45 and caught up with the whole 00.45 - 5 am coverage, mostly in fast forward, over breakfast. It took about 90 minutes. The cars are even more awesome to watch at night.

Looks like Ferrari have got it sown up with 80 minutes to go but it would be nice to see the No.6 963 on the podium. Manthey should win the GT3LM class.

Coming up to the final stint with the lead Ferrari piloted by Robert Kubica 35 seconds ahead of Kevin Estre in the 963 who's got the No.50 Ferrari right on his tail.

It's going to be a great last half hour to see if Porsche can split the Ferraris.

Congratulations to Robert Kubica for winning Le Mans - 14 years after the Rally crash that nearly killed him.

Coincidentally he won on the same day as the Canadian F1 where he is remembered for his massive smash in 2007 and his first/last F1 win in 2008.

A good day for the Poles as the LMP2 InterEuropol car won their class.

A great drive from 963 No.6 to claim second in the Hypercars, 11 seconds behind Kubica's yellow Ferrari and 11 seconds ahead of the third place red Ferrari. It was the first LeMans podium for the 963.

Richard Lietz comfortably brought home the Manthey Porsche first in the GT3LM class.

#50 Ferrari disqualified from Le Mans 24 Hours over technical breach.

The fourth-placed Ferrari was excluded from the final results. Driven by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, the car had finished fourth overall, just 29.666s behind the race-winning satellite Ferrari and 1.179s away from the podium, but was found to have breached rear wing technical regulations in two ways.

The #50 car’s disqualification promotes the #12 Cadillac (Lynn-Nato-Stevens) to fourth place, with the #7 Toyota, the #5 Porsche, the #38 Cadillac and every other classified competitor moving one position up the order.
