I want to take out some breakdown assistance. At the very least I would like myself+passenger and car to be taken home.

I am also driving to Le Mans this week and would like cover for this too. (My passenger told me my car would be covered with him but has just told me this is not the case !!)

Please give your opinions taking service and then value for money into account.

Thanks in advance Will

always found the RAC to be excellent 24/7.. what I have on my current TT..

if they cover a 911 then they get my vote....

I've used the AA 5-star breakdown service several times (mainly for trips to Le Mans) and they were very good on the two occasions I had to use them. I had an E-Type Jaguar a few years ago that blew up in Abbeville. It was delivered back to my house before I got home the next week.

Anyway you know the 993 won't break down!

Enjoy the trip. I'm going to the Classic Le Mans in July - can't wait

I know it shouldn't Martin but as everyone has bugged me to get breakdown cover for the UK and this trip - I know that if I don't something will happen !! Sods Law rules in a big way in my life.

I possibly may be going to the Classic too.

Thanks - Will

I'm going to Le Mans this wk and have just arranged for my 993 to be covered by the AA 5-stars. Cost me @£35, small amount of money to pay for peace of mind. I did have similar cover of a 2 wk trip to Italy in a Speedster replica a few yrs ago, needed their help, once in Swiss for a flat tyre and broken spanner, and once on Simplon pass 3000ft up with immobiliser not working (or working a bit too well!). All very helpful.

Ok I went with AA for this trip only. I was going round in circles with all the different options.

I'm going to use the AA as well for my trip in July. I already spent about £100 in May to insure my E30 M3 and my daughter's MX5 on a week's visit to France and of course nothing happened. But I agree with you - Sod's Law...
