996CR Anti Roll bar links

I am trying to replace the anti-roll bar links on the front of my 996 C2 [1998]. Whilst the bottom of the arm has disconnected with little difficulty, the top of the link [which passes through the shocker hub] is stuck fast. I have tried gripping the integrated nut head, but will not budge, anyone else had this problem?
