996 won’t start after removing interior

Done everything I can now, removed the M534 board cleaned down and still no crank, now looking for a ECU repair service. I have a couple on email waiting for the new year for replies but looks like the right path to go will let you all know how much and who and the success after repair.

Did you resolve this? - there is an astonishing foible on some Porsches that I found it on my 987 - the body needs to be earthed to a tiny (1.5mm) lead under/in front of the driver's seat that can pop off you remove the carpet/seats... It is a single wire hanging out of the main loom that runs under the door. You would not look for it in normal circumstances and definitely wouldn't believe it could immobilise the car but it does...
Might be worth a look...

Not resolved yet ECU went out for repair and on tpreturn still have the same issue, have tried the bridge across relay53 #7 and can crank car but no start, I will have a look for the cable you mention as interior still out.

Not found the wire that unclips? Where would it be, although looked through the inside and nothing looks loose or disconnected. I have checked most outputs from the ECU, things like the central locking door button on the dash has a signal or feed direct from the ECU pin A29 but checking to ground no +12 volts the tail gate solonoid also has a direct signal from Terminal A34 but when switched no signal and no feed direct to the switch from ECU. I think there may be a couple of channels in the ECU not quite fixed. The central locking was easy to check so tried to activate the central locking from the key in the door but nothing and looking on the schematics all the central locking circuit for the door comes via the ECU. NOT finished yet so will keep posted but does any one know about swapping out ECU for a new one or second hand one and what needs to be done.

Question, I had had the ECU repaired as stated above and I’m told the ECU data is still and was there. Will I need to recode the key or DME or should it be still the same before repair and still does not work.

Just put a scope on pin A2 and would seem as if the ECU IS SENDING A SIGNAL? Any one got any advice.
