Hi All,
Loving this site.
Does anyone have any information relating to the fitting of the 996 turbo engine lid and spoiler onto a Carrera 2 convertible please.
My Carrera 2 has the full turbo body kit on it and the paperwork shows that it left the factory like this in 2001.
Whilst the body kit appears genuine, I'm not so sure that Turbo rear spoiler/engine lid was fitted at factory?
There is no engine compartment fan fitted and the snorkel to the air intake is missing because the turbo lid has the air intake on the opposite side. Finally, the air filter box has been butchered so that the ram for the spoiler can fit.
I'm in two minds:-
Do I put a Carrera 2 boot lid back on it or is there a mod I can make to the air induction system?
As it is at the moment, it's drawing hot air in from the engine bay, so I need to change something.
Anyone got experience of this modification?
Darren
