991.2 GTS aftermarket exhaust options

Yeh the Kline systems sound insanely good but I’m sure they’re around £5k-£7k, which is a bit silly if you ask me.

Forgot to update this! I ordered my JCR non valved system back in May. Shouldn’t be much longer in build now and will make sure I post many videos!

Will be very interested to hear more about how you found JCR and (most importantly) what the exhaust now sounds like? Did you order direct from them or one of their dealers? What set up have you ordered?

I’ve just done a little bit more research this morning, and it looks like it’s going to be somewhere between £5-10k whichever brand I pick…

I have the full Kline System on mine including headers & carbon tips. Increases turbo spool sound and comes alive at higher revs. There is a slight drone at motorway speeds if in Sport or Sport+, however this is eliminated when put back in Normal mode.

That’s really helpful - thanks. Do you have any clips of what it sounds like?

I don't unfortunately, although if in North Yorks anytime then you're welcome to have a drive out, listen etc.

I'm sure there are a few clips on YouTube for reference. My system is also running their 200cell cats.

Cheers - 200 cell CATS is what I’m thinking I would go for as well.

Does the car sound completely normal in normal mode, or is there a difference even there because of the cats and more free flowing exhaust?

Kline Does sound very good.
I think at the moment I'm leaning towards a JCR cat back only. Run the car for a bit see how it is, then add Litchfield cats and manifold, run for a bit. Then GTS turbos and a map.

I’m struggling a bit with man maths…. And a bit of head v heart debate…

My heart is saying “f**k it - just do it” which would probably mean throwing money at the problem and buying a full Kline system - including manifolds, plus either a Litchfield or NineExcellence ECU tune… which on my GTS would get me into Turbo S levels of performance…

However, my head is saying I have never really felt my car was slow - just a bit quiet, so the sensible thing to do would be to take it step by step, and maybe just change the rear silencer first, and slowly move forward if that doesn’t deliver a big enough change….

that's my thinking. try sort the sound out first (and I'm in a T so 70hp down on a GTS and similarly less torque and still pretty much fast enough for (rational) driving. But coming out of a 987.1 3.4 boxster with an exhaust and tune and an R1 with the the same - I'm missing the raw sound the most, so I'm thinking to do a cat back first and then if that doesn't do it I might change to a GT4 or if I can afford it a GT3.

My T is running a 540ps 9E Tuning Package with full Kline system. It's very rapid and for UK roads I don't feel like I need any more power.

What was the turnaround time - I'm assuming you had the tune and exhaust all done together? Did you need to do anything on the intake side?

It was the sound that let down my 991.2 GTS, but a perfect car apart from this. I spent a while looking at the various options but gets expensive very quickly, and will a turbo car ever sound as good as a NA car? In the end I bought a GT3 🤣🤣
