Hello everyone, I have a 82 1/2 preproduction 944 with 32,000 miles. Can anyone tell me if I can replace the old fuel rail with a rail from an 85 model by rerouting the fuel pressure line from the damper of the old rail to the new location of the 85 rail which connects directly to the end of the rail.
These rails look to me to be the same with the exception being on the fuel line location and damper design.
I bought a 85 fuel rail and had it chromed and think it will look to be a rather sweet addition to my baby.
