It'll be interesting to see how much shine you could get on a silver car! BTW did yoou do the interior and engine bay as well?

I didnt give it the full treatment on the engine bay but I cleaned the plastics in there. You can see the air intakes if you look carefully from the outside so it would have been rude to not get them nice and clean. I cleaned the dash and doors including waxed sills. Not the carpets and seats

Im still trying to sort these pictures out. Bear with me. I went to Rob's place on Tuesday. The car looked not too bad but it was difficult to assess it properly without washing it 1st. So I gave it a good wash and dry and began the inspection. There was evidence that the car had some kind of product on it. However there were a lot of contaminants on the car. So I started the claying process. Usually it takes me about 40 mins to clay a car of this size. In this case I must have spent nearly two hours on it. There were a lot of marks and bits of tar all over the car. Especially on the sideskirts, the front bumper and the rear end was pretty bad too. I went through every single mark on the car no matter how small they were. I wanted it crystal clear. The only marks that I did not remove were the ones that had gone through the clearcoat and into the primer.

After this process I gave the car the big wash. This included doing each wheel, tyre and caliper individually and the inside of the wheels with a toothbrush. I cleaned behind the wheels also so you can see the backbox shine and front silver parts bling. I have pics of this I will try and upload.

After the big wash I dried it. Then I started masking the car up ready for the paint cleaning and acrylic sheild. Before I started I went over the larger scratches on the bodywork and removed them. Once I had given the car a coat of the AIO I gave it another coat but this time it was a glaze sealant. Toend with Igave it one coat of wax. All in all it took me a straight 12 hours with about 20 mins break in total. The weather looked patchy at times but I was lucky. After the bodywork was done I put alot of protectant on the tyres and rubber/plastics. It kept soaking it all up as this was the 1st time the car had recieved real TLC. I will try and put some pics up now.
