All I am new to the forum and am currently considering the purchase of a 996 or 997 coupe, can anyone advise if a child seat can be fitted in the rearw whilst leaving leg room for the front passenger.

Replies with thanks

A rear facing child seat will take a lot of room in the back, however there will be a little room left in the front passenger seat.

I have managed to get both my children (and their child seats) into the back of my 997 on many a long journey

The children are nearly 3 and 5

I am 5’ 9” and there was plenty enough room for the kids in the back (although I made them take their shoes off so not to scratch/kick the back of the front seats)

Hope this helps?

The child seats are Porsche originals two piece, forward facing and suitable for 3 to 12 years olds.

Looking at today's paper, you'll have to provide them with seat bolsters until they're 12 now.

Britax Trio car seats fit a treat in the back of a 996 - both my boys are in them, one is 2 1/2 the other 15 mths.
