12V Accessory Socket Query

Hello. I am wondering if someone can give me some advice please to what might sound a daft question.

I have 2017 991.2 Carrera 4 and use the Porsche Charge o Mat Pro to maintain the battery via the 12v socket in the centre console. This all works well. I have a Blackvue Dashcam powered from the 12V socket in the passenger side footwell too.

My question is, can I leave the dashcam connected whilst the battery is being maintained and will the power to the socket go to sleep after 30 mins whilst the battery is being conditioned by the Charge o Mat? Or, will the power to the passenger footwell socket remain live whilst the maintainer is in the loop? Should I get one of those 12v multi socket adapters that are switched for the passenger socket so I can kill the power to it to be doubly sure.

Of course I could just disconnect the dashcam after parking up. It’s just a bit of pain. The car is under extended warranty so I can’t reconfigure something with the fuse box.

All the best.

Power usually cuts off after the ignition is tuned off after a set number of minutes

Charging the battery has no impact
