Hi all

New to site was wondering if any one can advise me on a decent brake upgrade for my 1987 911 supersports targa.

Purchased yesterday totally amazing lost for words right now :) will post some pics shortly

Thanks dan

Welcome and well done on your purchase.

Upgrade stages
1. Brake Fluid
2. Brake Pads
3. Brake Discs

worth also checking the condition of the brake lines

before you look to increase the size of the brakes...

Hi thanks for reply more than likely will go down this route. Is this likely to help with stiffness of brake pedal finding it quite hard not sure if this normal. The .discs are very slightly lipped pads are good, do you recommend genuine porsche brakes .

If you have a Super Sport it will have Turbo brakes.

There is absolutely no need to upgrade them, but they may need to be overhauled.

If you need a lot of pressure on the pedal the servo may be the issue.

As above ^^^^.

It has 930 brakes, so good pads and fluid are all you need provided everything is in good working order.

There are 500+hp 930 race cars running these brakes so don't let anyone tell you that you need "more" or bigger brakes. They can feel a little wooden, but a slightly more aggressive pad is likely all that you need.
