Did you go with Sachs or fit a lighter flywheel?
How much was fitting?

I went for the standard offering of a Sachs clutch, which I’m happy with as it’s bags lighter than my old clutch on 63k miles. It started to slip at 45k when giving it the beans. The clutch cost £1060.00 incl. VAT supplied & fitted from Precision Porsche. Used ‘em for my old 993 and they were great as always. Best prices compared to Porsche Tonbridge, La Rose and Nine Excellence.

The clutch started to slip very occasionally at circa 43k and gradually got worse. I probably left it too long hence the flywheel requirement. The flywheel, bolts etc were £890.00 plus the dreaded Vat. Precision didn’t charge for labour as it was all apart anyway (another outfit wanted to charge an additional 3 hours labour fo this! Robbers).

After almost a Month of having to wait for the spoiler buing built and shipping to the UK, getting held up in customs for reviewing i finally picked up my Carbon Fibre GT3 MK2 Rear Spoiler Lid, Unbelievable how light weight it is!!! Worth the weight (wait) Grin, i originally wanted to go standard but me son pulled me into getting a spoiler back on me car!!! Needs painting now!!.

You can see the size of the box as it wouldnt fit in the car but was very very well packed !!!

Cheers

Front discs and pads a few weeks ago.

Brembo discs and Pagid pads, fitted by Barry at Brooklands, Swanley. Great experience Thumb

Where’d you get the programming for the sunroof and windows mate?
Had it on my 996, but not on the 997?

Cheers!

I kinda wanted body coloured intakes so might paint over the carbon. Unless anyone wants to swap a set of any coloured ones for these carbon pair?

How’s the fitment on the carbon scoops?
I ordered an aftermarket fibreglass pair and had them sprayed and figment was’nt great.

Mine came supplier with screw fittings and I wasn’t keen on drilling holes in my deck lid so had the screws removed and attached with 3M tape.

It’s ok, but not as good as OEM and is one of those things that always annoys me.

Just wondered if carbon were any better?

The new coolant pipes haven't arrived yet, but the other parts are fitted. In addition a new pair of front subframe struts, undertray, various bracetry and fixings have been ordered. Been a busy couple of weeks!

Stoddy - PIWIS can be used to code for windows open &/or close on key or remote.

Don't think the sunroof coding does this, but there is an add-on that can open & close the convertible roof. Can't recall what it's called, auto top or similar perhaps?

I bought and changed over the old HID xenon bulbs (2007 car) to Osram night breaker - Laser Xenarc. D2S fitting. Lights are now much brighter. Colour is pretty much the same as Philips set that I took out. Easy DIY job.

Whilst I had the left headlight unit out, I saw a hose had disconnected. I reconnected it and now my headlamp washers squirt water again!

This is interesting. At Xmas I was in the depths of the Essex countryside and noticed how crap my lights are in my 2007 997. This could be a great upgrade.
Now for a potentially silly question - How do I check if these bulbs will be right for my car?

This sounds good!! Is there a link to the purchase of the bulbs, i.e. ebay etc or a bulb part number please could do with a light brightness upgrade Grin

Cheers
