40,000 miles that is!

So far the 991 has been back into the OPC around 20-25 times, but as it's only a short walk from my office and I am always well looked after still very happy with the car.

Rough idle/misfires and rough/flat between 2-3k revs has been the most persistent fault for the last 10k. New VVT being fitted soon as a hopeful fix.

Was surprised at the 40k service that its no more than a couple of filters and oil, plugs don't get changed till 60k

So how many miles has your 991 covered?

Mine has covered just under 11k and will be 12 months old in 3 weeks, can't wait to get into her Saturday morning.

Bayrak - I saw a yellow 991 by Buckingham Palace last week on my way to work was that you??

Nick

Nearly 8000 miles for me

Wow that would really put me off. Sounds like you have a bit of a dud. Like the video the guy made recently listing all his faults.

Sorry, not been on here much lately, too busy ferrying the 991 to and from the garage with it's endless 'features'... but that's another story...

Well, my favourite subject, my 1978 Mk2 Escort Mexico. I have owned the car now for 20 years, bought it from a friend as a freshly painted shell and boxes and boxes of parts. Much money later I had a 2.1 Pinto engined Mex running 50 DCOE's and it was pretty quick. Fast forward 18 years and I have started a restoration of the car, complete with 300bhp Cosworth YB engine, modern brakes, electric power steering (sigh yawn, yes just like the 991). The car is nearing completion of the dummy build now, at which point it will be ripped apart and the shell acid dipped.

Enjoy the pics.
