Porsche's 918 Spyder can be made lighter and faster thanks to the Weissach performance pack.
The 918 Spyder gains its technical advantage from the strict use of lightweight materials, right down to the smallest detail. With the Weissach Package our racing engineers have taken yet more technical measures to reduce weight even further.
The Weissach-upgraded car costs £712,088, which is a £59,239 premium over the standard 918 Spyder.
Weight-saving measures including new magnesium wheels, lighter brakes, ceramic wheel bearings, and titanium bolts. These help to shave a total of 41kg from the standard 918 Spyder's kerb weight of 1675kg.
Thanks to those savings, the Weissach 918 Spyder can hit 60mph in 2.5sec, get to 120mph in 7.2sec and accelerate to 186mph in 19.9sec. It has the same 214mph top speed as the standard car.
Two optional exterior liveries are available as part of the Weissach package, which also adds extra carbonfibre trim, while the interior is upgraded with new six-point racing harnesses.
Porsche says the Weissach package "exposes an even stronger dedication to motorsport".
Porsche's 918 Spyder is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 engine combined with two electric motors on the front and rear axles. Total power stands at 875bhp, while total torque is rated at 944lb/ft.
