Keith many thanks for stepping up to lead to convoy and giving us a proper chance to chance the dream while living the dream

Tom well done mate we all know how busy your are these days so your effort to bring you spotless baby oun some dirty road was really appreciated

Colin your bloody coat Stoll the show lol. To hear you speak my thoughts about what it is to own and drive a Porsche while enjoying our coffee was what it's all about. Drive drive and drive them as they were built to drive.

Mark its obvious your turbo is your pride and joy I hope your enjoyed chasing me for a bot bit Christ I couldn't leave you what a machine. Hoping your better half can join is next timeas sSharon needs some female company lol.

I took some canny video so o try and edit and post on YouTube with a couple of pics.

Finished the day in edmondbias chatting to a guy who has four porkers currently restoringa 912 and his best mate owns 2 original RS's and two copies.

What a day

Thank you all

To all that missed this one don't forget 15th of may to NEC and Tom has committed to a run out in January 2014

Chuffed you all had a good day out, with plenty clear roads and a nice cuppa Smile

Sorry again for bailing last minute.

Finally got the 993 quarter glass in on Sunday after much swearing and kicking the wall. The job needed to be done in the end, not just for vanity reasons, but for the damp silicone and rust left behind by a previous owner nooo

While I was on I replaced the front scraper seals too. At least that was a quick job.

Chris

Job well done Chris , looks like you applied paint too or is that just after a wipe down . where did you get the 993 quarters from , same size glass as 964 ? with different rubbers ? Nice and neat Thumb

Cheers Keith Smile

Rust was localised but was wet sanded, etch primed and painted, but most of the finish you see there was original paint after a good clean up.

993 glass was off eBay, with new seals from OPC.

The 993 glass has slightly more curved edges. The 993 seals have no metal trim, so look smoother and are a tighter fit, so don't leak.

964 glass will fit with 993 seals apparently, but glass was cheap enough, so thought I'd go with the 993 and sell the originals.

Chris

Hi all, good to see you for a short while yesterday. It was good to get the cobwebs blown off the the car albeit replaced by pheasant feathers after a slight altercation on the run over to Rothbury. The car came off better than the pheasant! Drive Shooter next time birdy!

Looks to be quieter up at the border than the last time we were there Keith.

Chris I think you have a slight obsession there. Are you getting a custom seat sorted for young Dobba then?

If I don't see you all before Christmas have a good one and we'll get out for a run sooner rather than later.

Cheers,
Thomas

How do Thomas Smile

Young Dobs will have to put up with Blue oval or 4 ring motoring until it's 12 months Sad. I'll be buying a red car seat for it after that!

My OCD is getting bad! New door seal now ordered and front door cards coming off this weekend to re-dye leather door pulls and pocket lids...

Have a great Christmas!!!!

Chris

Long story but in a word, no. He won't let me book it in? Every time I ring him he's to busy! Asked point blank if he wanted to do it or not and he assures me he does, just doesn't know when he can fit it in, going to see him in January and try and get it booked in properly cos if it doesn't happen soon I'm going to spend the money in aspers casino!

Been working and saving hard over the last couple of months, looking to do a fair bit of work on the car soon. Hopefully momo prototipo steering wheel (already got the boss), rennline internal door handles (been upstairs in a bag for about 2 months), leather top dash, busy emailing a guy on eBay, he's sending me some blue leather samples. You can get the stitched leather cover canny cheap you just need to get it fitted so ill let you guys know if its any good? Plus hoping to get some koni FSD suspension and new bump stops if I can push the budget.
Nearly forgot I'm gettin some new rear lights as well but gutted I've got to spend so much on crappy plastic lights!

If I get the suspension ill post up fitting details when I do it.

Ian
