Outdoor car cover -which is best?

So I have used a Stormforce outdoor cover on my 3.2 for a few years. It spends allot of time on the car but after the last winter it is dead.
I normally store the car over the colder months but last year decided to keep it at home. This meant I cold take it out regularly, accept when the local roads had been salted.
I would like to do the same this year but don't fancy another Stormforce cover. Anyone got any suggestions and advice on what I can do?

Cheers!

Just bought a stormforce light from specialistcarcovers. Yet to try it but looks well made etc, only use cover mon-fri.

I have one STORMFORCE while the car was on the driveway, first one shrunk ? They replaced for me after a while it did the same thing but not as bad. Also a thing to remember, cats love car covers my one has a few pull marks. I have a garage now still have the cover on the car.

I have the Stormforce cover but it is pants. The outer shell has gone brittle and crumbles away.
According to another car cover company it is from sun-damage. It wasn't cheap and I think it was around £300 from memory.
I don't mind paying a similiar cost but I am worried the same thing will happen again. Over option is renting a grager but they are over £150 per month.
Cats have been an issue, little b'stards have scratched both of my cars. My solution has been to block off a walkway they use, put up a cat siren and spray around the area with some repellant. This seems to have done the trick.
Thankfully it's getting colder in the city which means the crack foxes are getting hungry. This time of year you see weekly posters for lost cats. Once upon a time the local curry houses where blamed, but after finding a blood covered collar in my garden, head in the next and then 2 doors away the neighbour found "his" foxes n cubs chowing down on poor old fluffy I now know the truth....as M&S said "the truth IS out there..."

Will speak to Specialised to see how theres differs. Appreciate the replies.

I also use a Portable garage, not cheap got my one from Ebay around £250 used. It folds over the car, can even work on the car as well.
However it needs to be peg down etc.

I used to have a stormforce car cover for my last car, but I gave it away when i sold the car. I was impressed with it.

I now have a Halfords all weather cover for my 911. The fit of the large cover is perfect for a 996 and the quality is pretty good with tie down straps. The seams are on the outside, so you dont get wear to the paintwork. It's also working well so far, keeping the car nice and dry with the terrible downpours we're having. The cover itself is a 3 layer bonded breathable type, so lets moisture out but it's waterproof and can be re water proofed with a spray if needed.

My wife said that she has only ever had two covers returned since she can remember and people are generally happy with them.

I think it was about £50 but my wife works for Halfords so gets 25% discount :)

Cheers,

Paul.

I would like one of those garage thingies SeeYa but no room, I only have room to squeeze both cars onto the drive. I live in London and don't want either on the road.
I suspect my cover has not lasted as it is on the car 24x7. The car is not my daily but a high days and holidays car. So perhaps being in all weathers for such a long time killed it off. It's 4 layers and all the storm/extreme yadda, yadda covers are 4 layers.
The Cover Company have said sun damage killed the Stormforce and they have said this often happens and their one is different as it uses a different material.
Who to believe........I know they have warrenties but these aren't often worth the paper they are printed on.
Fingers crossed the numbers come in Saturday and I can get the extension to the house wih underground garage/mancave!
