"New posts" icon buggy?

Is it just me or are others also finding that the red "new posts" icon is not changing to grey for "no new posts" after they have just read a thread?
 
Seems to go grey when I have the thread.

Thanks for confirming that I don't need to start fiddling with my own browser/cookie settings. :D
 
What browser?

Seems fine on IE9 and iOS Safari.
 
I'm on Firefox :thumb:
 
Well, I guess we could all be right, but that doesn't really help.

Have these browsers recently updated themselves (AFAIK both have continuous updates enabled by default)?
