"After Ron Dennis's assertion at McLaren's 50th anniversary celebrations on Saturday night that the team urgently needed to get back to winning ways, the Woking team, who Alonso left after a single, turbulent season in 2007, are still yet to exercise their option on either Jenson Button or Sergio Perez next season, prompting some to wonder if Alonso could make an unexpected return"

If Kimi joins Ferrari(as expected) then Alonso may just do this, if a good offer is put to him. This could explain why the JB and Perez confirmations are currently on ice.

....but still Hulkenberg and Di Resta are on a lot of team radars and either of/both these two guys could still be the dark horses within the top teams driver merry go rounds.

The next 10 days are going to be very interesting indeed, in terms of 2014 line-ups.

I think the door is still open for Alonso at McLaren despite him recently pledging his future to Ferrari.

We speculated back in May that Kimi could find himself back at Ferrari.

I can't see us being treated to seeing both in the same team, entertaining as that would be, the team principals would prefer a smoother ride and that's the same for RBR, Alonso won't be partnering SV.
Put the egos together and you get what you got when Alonso partnered Hamilton. Good to watch but.....

The deals are all done,we just haven't been told. They don't call it silly season for nothing. Will still be interesting ( hopefully).
