I have been viewing the forum for a little while and gained a great deal of insight into the options for a new 991. So finally I have ordered my car and put the deposit down - January 2013 build for delivery on 1st March 2013. After months of thought, the final spec is going to be:
991 Carrera S
20" Carrera Classic wheels
BOSE sound system
Cruise control
Agate Grey metallic paint
Electric folding mirrors
Guards red seatbelts (for a little colour in the cabin)
Heated seats
Black leather
Park assist front & rear
PCM

Sports exhaust

Wheel centres
That's it - if I've missed anything tough luck
Quite a wait, but then again I waiting 2 years for a Noble

I bought a Brand New Pre-regestered 911 (991) which was perfect spec to what I wanted.

Ive done 850 Miles so far = Driving HEAVEN

Amazing car 10 out of 10

I have gone for exactly the same on the belts.....

All this talk of ordering a new 991 is making me want to order one, too! I'm pleased to see that people are not shying away from ordering well-specced cars. Contrary to good financial-sense, the options really do finish a car - I have always loaded my cars and have never once regretted doing so!
 
Not long now

I am pleased that my spec gains approval, I was determined not to shy away from what I wanted (rather than what I could afford). I am expecting a call from the dealer any minute now, to tell me it's arrived and ask for his money. Let's hope 1st March is a happy day for me - pics to follow.
 
I notice you have gone for the multifunctional steering wheel, did you not fancy the sports steering wheel?
 
Steering wheel

I agree that the Sports Design steering wheel does looks better, but has an additional "stalk" to change some settings - whilst the Multifunction wheel deals with this in a much nicer fashion , hence my choice (cost difference immaterial).

991 at dealer yesterday, visit tomorrow to pay and admire - pics to be posted.
