Porsche has worked up a treat to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first two Porsche Clubs, the first of which was founded by seven gentlemen in Westphalia, Germany in 1952, and the second started by another six gentlemen a few months later. Those few enthusiasts and two organizations have grown into 181,000 members among 640 Porsche Clubs in 75 countries. In honor of those humble beginnings, Porsche has created the 911 Club Coupe.

Using the Carrera S as a base, the Club Coupe gets the Carrera S Powerkit providing an extra 30 horsepower, taking the total to 430 hp and dropping the 0-to-100-kph sprint to 4.0 seconds. The PASM option drops the car by 20 millimeters over its 20-inch Sport Techno rims, and the Sport Design package adds a new front fascia and a ducktail spoiler out back. The work is then coated in Brewster Green paint with an Espresso interior, and finished with glossy script on the doors.

The only bittersweet note concerning the 911 Club Coupe is that Porsche is making just 13 of them, and the company is keeping one for itself. The remaining 12 will be awarded to those who win the allotment lottery, entered by registering at the microsite. You have until June 16 to get your name down, and if you are among the chosen your name will be engraved on the door sill – but we assume that's after you've paid €142,831, or $175,580, before taxes for the privilege.

Nice though @ $175k a tad pricy. At least we know the X51 powerkit is alive and well at 430bhp - possibly standard on a forthcoming GTS if not an option on the existing S.

And once they have sold those, what do you all think will be next. Couldn't possibly be followed by a similar run of club cabrios could it.....

That spoiler should be on the GT cars :thumb:

I really like it, but don't have enough money to be one of the 13, sorry 12

I saw a 991 with a ducktail at the Porsche Days event in Spa, it looks a really nice edition to the 991.

Then they'll be followed by a full time model with 95% of the "features" (read they'll junk the abominable interior) at 60% price:

997 SportClassic
997 Speedster
...
997 GTS
997 GTS Cab
997 GTS 4
997 GTS 4 Cab

I like the 997 Sports Classic despite the pricing. The material they use and the styling (That roof) is more special. I am not sure about how they justify the pricing for this one though!

However, it is nice to know that they got a X51 kit for the 991 and a GTS may come out in a year or two! It will be a hard choice for me to pick GTS VS GT3. Need to start saving and stop buying watches!

Autocar quote the price as £115,000 in the UK.

To me that seams quite reasonable with the power kit and I dare say loaded with options.

With only 12 cars available to the public very exclusive and compared to the Sports Classic that produced 250 cars and a £140,000 price tag seams good value for money.

The colour combination of Green with brown interior is not to my taste and would have thought a different colour combination would have been better.

Not sure you can assume "loaded" with options if it is from Porsche and they state no particular options on the spec.

I suspect everything from heated seats to PDC are options still.

At least PSE should come with the X51 though.

Well its got power kit and sports exhaust,PDK,sports design package,20"techno alloys, special paint, brown coloured leather sports seats with beige stitching, illuminated door entry guards with model discription/anniversary logo and alluminium plate with buyers name on it.Possibly a few other options as well.

My point is at 115k good value compared with the 140k sports classic. Not that many people will have a chance of getting one.

As I am a tight git I would buy a 991 3.4,red,manual,20" techno alloys, sports design package and sports exhaust ,get a decent interior and exterior colour all for 78k.It may not go as fast but look pretty similar so save myself 34k or get a free new Boxster.

You had me at "beige" :thumb:

It's only good value if the X51 power kit (which includes PSE), PDK, Aerokit SportDesign, 20" Sport Techno alloys and sports seats can't be had on a C2S for less than £120k*.

*I have been charitable and only deducted £5k for the colour scheme. There will be no "rarety" premium on this car after the X51 is available across the board, and it will be trading at a discount once the GTS is launched.
